The Best Noir Sci-Fi-Horror of 2026 is an anthology that blends noir crime stories revolving around police and military life with science fiction, horror, and dark fantasy. Each piece comes from the voice of an unknown author, a new author, an underrepresented author, and a young, unpublished author. The anthology searches for works that have not been published before. No reprints are allowed.
This anthology brings together ghosts, vampires, aliens, unhinged machines, viruses, werewolves, and zombies in settings ranging from space and futuristic environments to the distant past and the multiverse. All submissions must be sent through MOKSHA.

Submission Rules
The Best Noir Sci-Fi-Horror of 2026 (BNSH 2026) is an anthology series that mixes crime noir with science fiction and horror. It is published online as an eBook (once per year) with possibilities for a print anthology in the near future. Each book features ten to twenty original stories. BNSH was founded by Editor Claude-Robert in 2024.
We are currently OPEN to submissions. Our submission window runs from December 25 through April 4.
Guidelines
The Best Noir Sci-Fi-Horror of 2026 seeks original, unpublished noir fiction: police or para-military stories that blend horror, dark fantasy, and science fiction. Payment is US $.04 per word for short stories (1,500–6,000 words) and one copy of the print anthology.
If your work is purchased, The Best Noir Sci-Fi-Horror of 2026 will own all rights, and non-exclusive anthology rights.
Authors are limited to one submission, and we will reject any submission that does not follow the guidelines.
What to Submit.
The Best Noir Sci-Fi-Horror of 2026 (BNSH 2026) publishes stories with diverse characters and encourages authors of every race, culture, creed, gender, orientation, expression, status, age, and ability. BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA2S+ writers, please submit your work. Writers must be at least 18 years old.
How to Submit
1) Please use the Moksha submission system to submit your story.
2) A cover letter is required. No publishing experience or publishing credits are required.
3) Format your submission in William Shunn Modern Manuscript Format and attach it in .doc or .docx formats. Please include your name and email address in the upper left corner of your manuscript. Your legal name, phone number, and mailing address will be needed if your story is chosen for publication.
4) If, after ninety days, you have not received a response, you can assume that your work has not been accepted.
Payment is made upon publication via PayPal, and the company will pay transaction fees (United States publications are preferred for editing reasons).
